Skid Plates

Description

The skid plate protects your oil pan and mounts directly to any stock MK1 1.6L to 2.0L motor mounting locations (sorry, but it’s not fitted for the 1.8T or VR6 at this time). It will push on the front motor mount, seating the cup, which will accommodate high horsepower and aggressive handling. This will eliminate the need for lower sway bars and shortened oil pans. It overlaps and protects the A-arm mounting section (the second lowest point on your car). The skid plates are cut from 3/16″ steel plate and are a direct bolt-on OR weld on, should you decide to commit.

Please note- WILL NOT fit to 1.8T or VR6 motors
